Order of the Pheonix Released - 9 More Days to Last Book

"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was released yesterday. We have a family tradition of going to the first movie on the first day, but weren't able to this time. My daughter, Jen, is out of town until Friday night. We plan to go Saturday. I can hardly wait.

I've been rereading all of the HP books in preparation for the final one. I know that JKR says two major characters will die in the final book-I'm sure it is going to be as traumatic for readers as the death in the last book. (Notice I'm not giving anything away to the people who either haven't read it or are waiting for the movie.)

I ordered two copies of "Deathly Hallows" from Amazon, they guarantee delivery on the release date or it's free. Jen and I each get a book to read and when we're done we donate one copy to the local library and keep the other one for our library. Note to any readers out there: Please support your local library. Funding for most public libraries is at an all time low and they need our help! Donate time, money or books to your favorite library today!

I started the Anne Lacy Shawl http://schaeferyarn.com/yrn_pattern257.html last night in Lisa Souza's yummy Emerald City Sock! yarn. As soon as I have a little more done I'll post a pic to the blog. It may take a while as I am unable to knit for long periods of time due to an injury. I didn't realize how relaxing knitting was until I had to cut way back on my knitting time, I really miss it.
Lisa's yarns are beautiful and very reasonably priced. Her website is http://lisaknit.com. Some times I go to her website just to drool. I'm on a yarn diet at the moment-we'll see how long it lasts.
